The similarities of style appear in the facial features: the wide rounded forehead, marked with the cross of Saint Andrew, the half-closed eyes and the marks of “tears”, the same shape of the nose and mouth with pointed teeth underlined. The Chihongo mask is the representation of a masculine spirit evoking power and wealth. Originally from Angola, it was made of wood by the Chekwe tribe in the middle of the 20th century. It has a height of 32 cm, a width of 21 cm and a depth of 17 cm.
